Confidence and independence are two key reasons why parents send their children to Camp Sisol. Late nights and overnights enrich the camp experience and help campers develop these skills. Plus, what would camp be without s'mores or singing around a campfire?
Late nights
Campers will remain at camp after the rest of the camp has gone home. Activities include extended free swim, extra activities planned by Unit heads and counselors, and dinner. Campers will get the chance to cook food over a campfire and spend some extra time with their unit, with camp all to themselves! At the end of the late night, campers will return the the JCC for pickup.
Pickup times are as follows:
Nitzanim late nights: 7 pm at the JCC
Tzofim late nights: 8 pm at the JCC
Tayarim and Ramot late nights: 9 pm at the JCC
Overnights
Overnights provide a camping experience for kids who are ready to go beyond the day camp experience. Campers staying overnight will have extended free swim, extra activities, dinner, a campfire and a movie to watch before bed. Campers are encouraged to sleep outdoors in tents, though in the case of inclement weather, campers will sleep in the Wolk Dining Hall.
Campers are not required to participate in late nights and overnights. Campers who do not wish to stay will return home on their regular bus.
